Jessica MacCormack will be screening a series of animated works that address issues of the criminalization of women and youth. Recent videos made by women and youth at Crossing Communities Art Project in Winnipeg (Canada), where Jessica works as an artistic mentor, will be screened alongside some of her other works. Crossing Communities Art Project is an out-reach centre for criminalized women (trans inclusive) and youth, many of the participants are aboriginal and most are dealing with issues of poverty, homelessness, racism, addictions, self-harming behaviors, sex work, abuse recovery and mental health problems.<\/p>\n
